Washington Oaks

Washington Oaks Gardens State Park is one of those rare places where two very different landscapes meet. On one side of A1A, you’ll find formal gardens with live oaks, native plants, and quiet walking paths along the Matanzas River. Cross the road and you’re standing on a wild Atlantic beach lined with coquina rock formations that look like they belong on another planet.

It’s the beach side that draws photographers. The coquina outcroppings here are some of the most dramatic on Florida’s coast — large, textured formations that catch the light in unpredictable ways. At low tide, pools form between the rocks, reflecting the sky and creating natural frames within every composition. During sunrise, the warm light rakes across the stone and sand, producing images rich with color and depth.

The dune line at Washington Oaks is equally compelling. Sea oats sway against pastel skies, and the overall feeling of the place is one of solitude and natural beauty. It’s not a crowded beach — it’s a quiet state park with limited access, which means the scenes feel untouched and timeless.

Our Washington Oaks collection captures the full range of this special place. From wide coastal landscapes to intimate details of rock, water, and light, each print is produced on archival materials built to last.
